Martin County Invitational NPB Swimmers had a great weekend in Martin County. They swam to a combine total of 138 Best Times. 8 Swimmers swam to a perfect meet all best times, 25 improved Time Standard Swims and 3 Swimmers qualified to Junior Olympics. Great Job this weekend!

2005 Winter Championship Hanah Vandersluis and Sam Bretz finished the year with 18 best time swims. Hanah Vandersluis had a perfect meet, improving her time in all of her events. 2005 FALL TOP 16 AFTER THE FIRST MEET OF THE TOP 16 SEASON, NPB HAS A FEW SWIMMERS IN CONTENTION FOR TOP 16. FOR INFORMATION AND STANDINGS ON THE TOP 16 PROGRAM CLICK THE LINK BELOW. NPB to host Top 16 Meet! NPB swim club was awarded two meets in 2006. NPB will host a County Sub-JO on May 6, 2006 and on August 25-26, a County Invitational, which counts towards the FGC Top 16 program.
First meet of the Top 16 season are in the books. NPB swam to 196 best times and 10 new JO qualifying times!

NPB Takes 1st in Butterfly Events at Largo! Julia Sharp, Casey Engelhardt and Sophie Morgan made it a clean sweep for NPB on Sunday winning the 11-12 100 fly, 13-14 100 fly and Open 200 Fly. Casey Engelhardt qualified for the Sectional Championships with a time of 1:10.72. NPB had a great showing. 56 swim in Finals, 5 1st place finishes, 9 2nd place finishes and 7 3rd place finishes. FGC Zone Team Selection The 2005 FGC zone team has been selected. The team will be traveling to Houston, Texas on August 1, 2005. Congratulations to Scott Blake for making the team and Connor Knight is first alternate.
NPB opens a new team "GOLD" The GOLD TEAM will begin to practice on Tuesday March 29, 2005. The team has been created to close the gap between the Blue team and the Senior Team. The Gold team will practice 6 days a week Monday thru Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Saturday's from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The criteria for the Gold Team is listed below.
NPB SWIMS TO BEST TIMES AT NATIONAL MEETS! Taylor Blake dropped 16 seconds in the 1650 Free on her way to a 23 place finished at the Southern Sectional Championships in Orlando, Florida. The following week Scott Blake swam to a 1:57.33 in the 200 IM at the NCSA Junior National. This years Junior National was the fastest meet in the last 6 years. Both Elizabeth Rogers and Scott Blake had a great weekend of swimming.

Nina Smith 400 IM, Julia Sharp 100 IM and 50 Free, Kelsea Schuppert 100 Back, Audrey Moore 100 Fly, Caitlin Finney 100 Back, Allison Murphy 200 free 50 free and 100 free, Conner Murphy and Jennifer Abovich. NPB Senior Team Swim FAST in Orlando! Elizabeth Rogers finished 2nd in the 50 Free with a time of 24.50. Casey Engelhardt broke the 1:00 mark in the 100 Free, Arielle Abovich swam to a personal best in the 100 Free, Nina Smith dropped 1 second in her 100 Back, Kate Schwed qualified for the 2005 Sectional Championships in the 200 Back, Taylor Blake and Oliver Basse swam seasonal best times.
Coach Alf Aguirre Joins NPB The NPB Swim Club is excited to announce the addition of Coach Alf Aguirre to the NPB coaching staff. The addition of Coach Alf solidifies the North Palm Beach Swim Club with the best coaching staff in Palm Beach County.
NPB 8 & Unders Win Championship! For the fourth time in five year North Palm Beach Swim club has won the Palm Beach County 8 & Under Santa Claus Meet. Congratulations to all the swimmers! The winning tradition continues!

FLORIDA GOLD COAST RECORD BREAKER Keri Brunn swam to a new Florida Gold Coast record in the Jr. Olympics held this March in Plantation. She swam the 100 yard Breaststroke in a 1:15.05, which broke the record set twelve years ago by Sabah Brinson from North Miami Swim Team and eclipsing Lindsey Martin’s NPB Record of 1:16.32 set in 1989. Keri also won the 50 yard Breast in a 34.88 . Congratulations, Keri. Keep up the hard work! NATIONAL AGE GROUP REPORTABLE TIMESNorth Palm Beach had two swimmers who achieved times fast enough to be submitted for National Ranking in the Top 16 in the nation in their event. BRITTANY LEAR (10) swam the 50 meter Butterfly in 34.13 and OLIVER BASSE (12) swam the 200 yard Butterfly in 2:12.87. Both surpassed the set standard for their event. Congratulations to you both!!!!! ALL-STAR TEAM
SCOTT BLAKE was selected to the 2003 Florida Gold Coast Zone All-Star Team. He competed in the 15 – 16 Age Group. Each age group is made up of only seven swimmers selected from all of the Florida Gold Coast swimmers over the course of the year prior to the Zone Meet. The FGC team then competes against thirteen other swimming associations in the southeastern quarter of the U.S. Super Job, Scott!!! FGC AGE

FGC vs. FLA DUAL MEETThe NPB Swim Club has seven swimmers on the FGC All-Star team in a dual meet with the Florida Association held at the IRCC pool in Ft. Pierce. They qualified by placing in the top four in an individual event at the Spring Jr. Olympics. Taryn Tatum (9-10), Morgan Lear (9-10), Keri Brunn (9-10), Arantxa Araujo (9-10), Kedric Bostic (9-10), Elizabeth Rogers (13-14), Oliver Basse (13-14) swam their respective events at the meet held at the Aquatic Center in Plantation. BEACH COUNTY “TOP 10” North Palm Beach had 19 swimmers make the Summer Palm Beach County Top 10 last year. This program begins in May and runs through mid August compiling best times from each meet. All of the teams in Palm Beach County plus Martin County Aquatics take part in this program which has been going on for over 30 years. This Foundation was established in 1994 as a 501C-3
tax exempt, tax deductible, non-profit corporation. It is organized for the purpose to help fund the NPB Swim
Club by purchasing training equipment, supplies, helping fund our state,
regional and national swimmers, and many other expenses to help keep the North
Palm Beach Swim Club a highly successful program for the swimmers in the
northern Palm Beach County area. We
would like to again thank Mr. John Thomas of Paine Webber and Mr. Tim Henry of
Jones & Foster, Attorneys at Law, for submitting our Foundation for a cash
donation from the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin County.
